EDUCATE THE CHILD ON CULTISM

The Permanent Secretary, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board , Mr. Fatai Kolawole, speaking at a briefing held to herald the second edition of a cultural festival among schools in the state stated strongly his disapproval for cultism. He went further to list the pains that came with it.

According to Kolawole, “Cultism is not a challenge in our schools in Osun State , but we are working to make sure that it does not spread here. We will not relax so that our children can remain focused on their goals.
“Cultism is evil and it destroys lives but the ethos of Omoluabi is being taught in our schools and the pupils are imbibing it. We don ’t have the challenge of cultism, but we won’ t fold our hands and do nothing because of this .”

Activities such as traditional dance, ijakadi ( wrestling ), display of local drums , singing , poetry recitation and more will be part of the festival.

Cultism does not make sense to me. It is condemnable to not educate your child or ward about the dangers of belonging to a cult group, getting involved in violence, doing drugs and going on killing sprees.

The desire to belong to a ruling power, or get a group of people to serve as defence are some of the numerous reasons children and youths get into these things. Pressure from outside and the need to bury low self esteem also contribute as factors that lead the child into joining a group.
It is needful to ensure that the child knows his worth and how high his value rank at home so that there is no doubt whatsoever in his heart.

Together, we will educate the child on the dangers of cultism and how it is very highly necessary to avoid getting involved or belonging to one.

DEONTAY WILDER AND ANTHONY JOSHUA, COULD THIS BE IT?

"Wilder is going to be getting a contract from us ASAP," Hearn said. "It's obviously the fight we want. There is a lot of sorting out to do for this fight, but great news that in principle he seems to be on board for the idea of coming to the UK for the fight. We're going to be dealing with it and we're going to be making sure he gets the relevant paperwork."

Wilder tweeted : "The $50M offer for him to fight me next in the U.S. is still available. Today I even agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the UK. If he prefers the fight in the UK, the ball is in their court. It's up to them to choose."

Not long after, we got a picture from Joshua on twitter with the caption "getting ready to rumble". Everybody assumes he is talking about the proposed fight that will turn reality soon.

Wilder's co-manager Shelly Finkel fed us some juicy bits, "We have agreed to the terms that Eddie has put out to us for a fight in the U.…
