NIGERIA, LIBYA AND THE EUROPEAN UNION

The European Union has promised to aid the safe return of 7,720 Nigerians who agreed to return home under the arrangement between the EU and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

According to the EU Ambassador and Head of delegation to Nigeria, Ketil Karlsen, “Some of the people who volunteered to come back home have difficulties coming back to face their families. Some support was packaged by EU to help their reintegration into society. Many of them are in need of assistance.”
Mr Karlson disclosed that about 50 per cent of the returnees were Edo State indigenes, while another 15 per cent come from Delta state.

Richard Yang, deputy Head of the EU Delegation, promised that, “On their return, they will be granted some seed money of about €100. “We (the EU) will counsel and identify the vulnerable people, particularly those psychologically affected as a result of being victims of human trafficking.
“We will identify individuals interested in setting up some businesses or go into some vocational activities, or other interested in coming together in cooperatives to set up businesses.
“Then, we will work with their state or local governments, along with agencies like National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the towns of their origin to ensure capacity building for them.”

In 2016, Nigeria and the EU signed a Common Agreement on Migration and Mobility. Currently, the EU is funding programmes to help Nigeria manage the menace of migration and human trafficking as well as address their root causes.

We're going to be dealing with it and we're going to be making sure he gets the relevant paperwork."

Wilder tweeted : "The $50M offer for him to fight me next in the U.S. is still available. Today I even agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the UK. If he prefers the fight in the UK, the ball is in their court. It's up to them to choose."

Not long after, we got a picture from Joshua on twitter with the caption "getting ready to rumble". Everybody assumes he is talking about the proposed fight that will turn reality soon.

Wilder's co-manager Shelly Finkel fed us some juicy bits, "We have agreed to the terms that Eddie has put out to us for a fight in the U.…
