Attention ! This Can Lead to Death

From the Director - General of NAFDAC , Prof . Moji Adeyeye , carbide is severely dangerous to our health as it can cause cancer, death. A statement to the public from Adeyeye reads :

“Fruit ripening is a unique aspect of plant development , which makes the fruit edible , softer , sweeter, more palatable , nutritious and attractive . However , the consumption of fruits such as mango, banana , plantain , guava, orange, grape , etc, or any other fruits ripened with calcium carbide is dangerous to health.

“Calcium carbide generally contains impurities, such as arsenic , lead particles , phosphorus , etc. that pose a number of very serious health hazards. These impurities may cause serious health problems when those applying calcium carbide on fruits come in direct contact with the chemical.

“Consumption of fruits containing these impurities may cause cancer , heart , kidney and liver failure . They may cause frequent thirst , irritation in mouth and nose, weakness, permanent skin damage , difficulty in swallowing , vomiting, skin ulcer and so forth .
Higher exposure may cause undesired fluid build -up in the lungs ( pulmonary oedema ) . Acetylene produced by calcium carbide affects the neurological system and reduces oxygen supply to the brain and further induces prolonged hypoxia .”

Carbide is any of a class of chemical
compounds in which carbon is combined with a metallic or semimetallic element. It is also defined as a binary compound of carbon with an element of lower or comparable electronegativity. Finally, it is carbon compounded with a non-metal (such as boron, calcium, or silicon) or metal (such as in cobalt, tantalum, titanium, tungsten, or vanadium).

On this note, we strongly caution against the purchase of ripe/very ripe fruits from the market place. Buy them, take them home and let the fruits ripen on their own or through safe, healthy methods you practice. Don't poison yourself.

"Wilder is going to be getting a contract from us ASAP," Hearn said. "It's obviously the fight we want. There is a lot of sorting out to do for this fight, but great news that in principle he seems to be on board for the idea of coming to the UK for the fight. We're going to be dealing with it and we're going to be making sure he gets the relevant paperwork."

Wilder tweeted : "The $50M offer for him to fight me next in the U.S. is still available. Today I even agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the UK. If he prefers the fight in the UK, the ball is in their court. It's up to them to choose."

Not long after, we got a picture from Joshua on twitter with the caption "getting ready to rumble". Everybody assumes he is talking about the proposed fight that will turn reality soon.

Wilder's co-manager Shelly Finkel fed us some juicy bits, "We have agreed to the terms that Eddie has put out to us for a fight in the U.…
